Till the realization of the present research work, art historians considered that the Peruvian viceregal architectureas a decorative manifestation derived of European architectural stiles, and not of what is demonstrated in this article:the Peruvian viceregal architectureis the result of architectural schools adapted to the local regions, characterized by technological innovations, the use of materials, the creation of architectural stiles and the introduction ofearthquakeproof techniques. This later one, did not exist in the European architecture
