Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The IECOS format for the preparation of articles can be downloaded here. In this document you will find detailed instructions to prepare your article following the guidelines of our magazine. The referencing style that IECOS employs has been created for publications based on the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) engineering field.

Manuscripts (articles) must be submitted via the OJS-UNI portal by means of a letter addressed to the General Editor of the IECOS Journal, signed by one of the authors, requesting the evaluation to be considered for publication. The letter must include the title of the work, the full name of the authors and type of work. Printed and/or CD versions are no longer accepted at the IECOS (FIEECS-UNI) parts table.

Consequently, you must attach an APPLICATION AND ACCEPTANCE OF CONDITIONS FOR PUBLICATION IN THE IECOS JOURNAL, duly signed, indicating that the article presented is the intellectual property of the authors, that it has not been published or submitted for evaluation in another journal, assigning the rights of the author to the IECOS Journal once the article is published.

Originality of the articles sent to IECOS

The IECOS Journal receives original research, scientific communication or creation papers that include original research articles, review articles, opinion articles, essays and clinical cases. In this sense, each article sent will be previously evaluated with an anti-plagiarism software.

  1. In the event that the postulated article is accepted for publication, the authors allow the FREE, EXCLUSIVE AND INDEFINITE TERM assignment of their patrimonial right(s) to the National University of Engineering (UNI, Peru).
  2. Rights of reuse: The UNI grants the AUTHORS the right to reuse for any purpose, including self-archiving, and to be able to publish the final approved and published version (post print) of the article on the internet or any electronic site, as long as and when it is carried out without profit, do not create derivative works without prior authorization and respect the sources of authorship.
  3. The application and possible publication of the article in the IECOS Journal will be subject to the regulations of the National University of Engineering and the corresponding laws of the Republic of Peru. For UNI members, the Researcher's Code of Ethics and Sanctions Regulations will also apply to the Researcher's Code of Ethics of our University.
