Projects, theories and research: trends in the teaching of architecture and urbanism
Keywords:
Teaching of architecture, project and research in architectureAbstract
The paper presents a pedagogical approach for teaching and new knowledge in postgraduate design studio courses. For this purpose proposes an aspect rarely developed for producing knowledge in architecture and urbanism based in the project process, where the skill for projecting requires not just to interpret but also inhabit the space that is projected.
The new postgraduate structure for design studio courses in architecture and urbanism, promotes “research as project” based on theoretical background, as well as “project as research” supported by practice.
