Abstract

The city of Lima is becoming denser, and high-density housing are built in all districts of the city to cover housing demand. This paper analyses the transformation experienced by the city of Lima, due to the emergence of high-density housing. A morphologic analysis is proposed in order to measure the physical changes and to analyse its evolution. The case of study is San Felipe Avenue, in the district of Jesus Maria, in the period between 1990 and 2009.
