Urban renewal: project management models. The case of Santa Cruz neighborhood, 1994-2009

Abstract

The urban renovation aspect of the deteriorated city is still a problem that has not been faced considering the importance of housing qualitative deficit in Peru. The investigation is developed in Santa Cruz commune in Miraflores district, which is one of the best exchange traded districts having an important number of housing development projects in metropolitan city of Lima. This study describes, analyzes and compares the project management models destined for urban renovations which are performed by public and private sector confronting them with a theoretical management model ruled by the updated governance values, the management and urban renovation.
