Techo Propio, Vivienda nueva. Why it doesn't work?

Abstract

The Peruvian government has implementing a housing program (Programa Techo Propio Adquisición de Vivienda Nueva(AVN) to the low income people. However, this program has several problems because there are great imbalance between the housing demand, the few housing projects and the price of urban land. The analysis qualitative and quantitative was conducted to evaluate the results of this program. The metodology consists in case studies (Lima and Trujillo) and interview and survey under Latin American comparative analysis.
