The cobalt spinel electrodes are well know materials of low cost and high electrochemical stability in alkaline dissolution. Because of this electrodes the interest for possible applications in electrochemical processes though this electrode shows electrocatalytic activity this property can be improved by doping with other metals like copper and nickel. In this work we have prepared cobalt spinels electrodes with nickel in the form of Ni_xCo_{3-x}O_4/Ti following a thermal treatment at 350 °C, it has been characterized by cyclic voltametric and XRD techniques and its electrocatalytic property has been evaluated from Tafel slope and mass transfer coefficient k_m in the electrolysis reaction of a alkaline solution 1 M NaOH.
