SUM OF ANGULAR MOMENTS
Abstract
In order to get the proper values and proper vectors of the (squared) sum of two angular operators, S = A + B, one usually applies the so called Clebsch-Gordan coefficients. In the present article we handle the case of two “little operators” to show how we can get directly that proper values and proper vectors, without making use of such coefficients.
