El legado de Elinor Ostrom y su influencia en diferentes campos

Resumen

Elinor Ostrom, ganadora del Premio Nobel de Economía en 2009, dejó un legado invaluable al mundo a través de su propuesta en Governing the commons (1990). Aunque son más los reconocimientos y aplicaciones, en esta revisión de literatura se mostrará que también existen comentarios adversos a la propuesta de Ostrom, como los presentados por Verrax (2019), sobre la crítica a Hardin por The Tragedy of Commons (1968), y Lapniewska (2016), que es apoyada por Revollo-Fernández et al. (2016) respecto a la importancia del género y su ausencia en la obra de Ostrom. A pesar de las críticas, el legado de Ostrom se presenta en muchos campos como sostenibilidad, sistemas de monedas complementarias, tecnologías blockchain, negocios internacionales, desarrollo económico, sistemas de innovación, emprendimiento social, macromarketing, investigación ética, y en diversos países alrededor del mundo. Adicionalmente, el marco de Ostrom sirvió como base para la creación de nuevos enfoques y definiciones como los bienes creados bajo los regímenes de propiedad común (CPA) y en acción colectiva, los sistemas de extensión cooperativa, comunión y gobernanza policéntrica, entre otros. El legado de Ostrom sigue vigente y brindando un marco de referencia para mayores desarrollos.
