Miscellaneous aspects of the search for an architecture contest system in Peru (1937-1962)

A study of architecture contests in Peru before the creation of the Peruvian Architects Association [CAP] is the main point of this research. These public processes, presented as such with their own particular features and also in terms of their transversal relationships with the socio-political and architectural context, show an irregular, changing course, where the Sociedad de Arquitectos del Perú (SAP) [Peruvian Architects Society - SAP] is the principal agent in the search for an orderly system of architecture contests for public buildings in Peru.
