Abstract

A concern that professors have to deal when they teach composition at the university is how to take this activity in order the students can strengthen their textual and discursive skills.
In fact, besides of the researches in the linguistic discipline and domain closed have developed in an ostensible way;
The search of new methodology strategies to improve that competence has not happened at the same time with those progresses. So a lot of students who specially belong to the following areas like engineering, architecture and mathematics, even when they have already taken writing course, they are not able to make formal writing which is required by academic activities.
For that reason, we have done a research that is cuasiexperimental way. It is focused in the Spanish basic syntax teaching to improve the textual competence of the university students which specializations belong to no humanistic areas. Our purpose is to test the efficacy of this strategy so students will be able to write academic nature and technical-scientific texts.
