This paper does not seek to examine the way in which the didactics of design are applied, but rather to study the current characteristics of those who execute them, responding to the question about the main features and particularities of teachers of architecture in recent years.
For this reason, we present the case of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of the University of Buenos Aires, one of the most distinguished public universities in Argentina for its massive student registration and, hence, for the volume of its teaching staff. The idea is to (re)construct the teaching profile of the past two decades in the faculty by means of 4 teacher censuses carried out by the University between 1992 and 2004 based on indicators of demographic features, working conditions, training, and publications.
