This essay presents the results developed by the students of the dicipline "Social Housing Architectural Design" in the Department of Architectural Design at the School of Architecture and Urbanism of the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, which aims to qualify these young professionals to understand the present spatial complexity as well as the cultural identity and the "genius loci" that are key elements in the designing process.
