The bio-climatic architecture applied to shcools. Experiences in the flaship schools of Peru

Abstract

The emerging economy of Per is revealed in the process for remodeling major colleges, called "colegios emblemáticos". In that process, it was applied bioclimatic analysis in order to get an coefficient design.
This research presents the methodology and synthesises four cases that summarizes the diversity of climates of Perú.
Various factors, like the proximity to the equatorial line, the Cordillera of the Andes and the marine current of Humboldt favor the multiplicity of landscapes and thermal amplitudes in the country; although extreme climates are minimal, it is possible to intervene to improve a proposal related to conventional constructions.
This research presents the recommendations for four specific cases, that can be replicable under similar conditions. The methodology, validated in this research, can be applied in other instances
