Abstract

The technologies 3D in the construction industry are the most representative of a new way of working that is producing and will produce increasingly large changes in the construction industry. The technologies 3D allow today carrying out three-dimensional models of a project, during the design, planning and. scheduling stage, and are commonly used by companies of architecture, engineering and construction.
These 3D models stored all project information, and would take advantage several of its applications for project compatibility purposes, the quantification of the amount of materials, 4D simulation of the construction process.
Understand the scope of the BIM technology and how it can be used in the different processes of a project and how these processes should be adapted or redesigned to take advantage of the help offered by these tools for integration, an advantage not only for architects and engineers, but also for the customer, since it can know in advance many aspects of the project and the economic impact they may have changes in the work.
