Background of green areas in Lima - preexistences - The beginnings of agricultural planning and the cosmovision
Keywords:
green area, cosmovision, Lima's landscape, U TemplesAbstract
This article is a study of Lima's landscape space regarding its green areas and taking as a starting point its origins as the natural scenario of three valleys: Chillón, Rímac and Lurín. The territorial area of Lima, commonly stereotyped as a desert, was a major cultural creation due to its productive agricultural area, directly related to their various pre-Hispanic cultural occupations. Today Lima is the result of its negative trend in terms of the preservation of these agricultural areas and natural ecosystems. The research discloses significant relationships within this Lima scenery, considering its natural configuration between coastal hills, wetlands and marine border, as well as the so called U temples and the cosmovision about the green area in the pre-Hispanic period.
