Abstract

Various schools of thought believe that the development of a country is related to the organization of the territory, a model that has been successful is the regionalization. However, there are several difficulties in our country for efficient regional system, a situation exacerbated by the lack of road intercom studies are inaccurate and outdated in every city, which is why we consider necessary to know what the role of cities in the formation of region in Peru. Specific information and a practical example drawn some cities of Macro-region of the country Centre (MRC) is presented.

This article presents a synthesis of research seeks to contribute to the process of regionalization, providing studies, methodological approaches and specialized analyzes of the cities in the Midwest. This urban-regional aspects were analyzed and identified computers shafts which allowed the delineation of potential territories (MRC). The proposed criteria have been established under the framework of sustainable development. The study began with the premise that there are no special roles or defined cities to support the regionalization process in the country. So, he chose to study eight departmental capital cities in the Midwest, with populations over 50 000.
