Abstract

Important worldwide urban projects in the period 1965-1975 were selected and analyzed in this research, that contributed to the formulation of a counter discourse on the hegemonic urbanism, supported the citizens awareness and formulated alternative positionings, making manifiest new ways to understanding the urban landscape through the uncertainty.

A limited set of practices were analized by using common principles to generate an idea of a casual city what is called Serendipicity. Simple and common projects were studied in order to present evidence about how they got to offer favourable conditions for a more inclusive city.
